Inside-Out Expansion for women ready for more
There may be more you want to express, create or bring into your life. I help you listen to that possibility and make choices that reflect who you are becoming, from the inside out.
It is okay to want more.
You may be here because life has taken a turn, or because a quieter part of you is asking for attention. Both are meaningful places to begin.
Door one
An ending, a shift in your work or a change in a relationship has opened questions about what comes next. You want to find your footing and choose a direction that feels like your own.
Door two
There is much you value about your life, and still, you sense a desire that has had little room to grow. Perhaps it is a creative impulse, a different way of leading or simply more space to hear yourself.
Point of view
Gratitude and desire can exist together. Wanting more may mean speaking honestly in your relationships, making room for work that matters or allowing a long-held interest to become part of your everyday life.
Achievement tells you what you have done. Alignment asks whether the way you live still reflects what matters to you. That question deserves your attention, even when your life looks good from the outside.
Meet Ellen
For more than twenty years, I helped leaders and teams at SAP, Workday, UC Berkeley and Kaiser Permanente move through change. At work and at home, I was the capable one. Somewhere in all that responsibility for other people’s success, I drifted from my own dreams.
When I returned home to the US from living abroad, I asked myself a question I had never let myself ask: What would my life look like if I listened to the voice inside me, the one urging me to express myself more fully? What if, for the first time, I chose myself, and followed intuition instead of obligation?
That question changed my life and is at the heart of the work I do with women.
Inside-Out Expansion
Inside-Out Expansion begins with what is true for you now: what you value, what you know and what is asking for room. From there, you explore how to express more of yourself through your decisions, relationships, work and contribution.
The practice deepens as you return to it. Four pillars guide the work:
01
To want more, without apology or explanation.
02
To trust your inner knowing in the decisions that matter.
03
To say more of what is true, in life and in leadership.
04
To express what is already within you.
01
Find language and perspective through my writing, podcast and Inside-Out Notes.
02
Join the Two-Hour Spark, a live introductory workshop, to see where your energy has been going and hear what your own knowing says about what’s changing or calling.
03
Explore sustained group work or selective one-to-one support when you are ready for a more personal commitment.
More than two decades in leadership and organizational development inform my work with women. I am the author of Living From the Inside Out and the host of Live Your Jam Podcast, where these questions become conversations about how we live, choose and grow.
Podcast
hosted by Ellen McGinnis
On Live Your Jam, I explore the questions at the heart of my work: How do you hear and trust your own knowing? How do you move through change without losing yourself? What becomes possible when you give more of yourself room to be expressed?
Some episodes are conversations with guests who have lived these questions. In others, I share what I’m learning along the way. Each offers something to reflect on or try in your own life. Begin with an episode that speaks to a question you’re living now.
Inside-Out Notes
Receive Inside-Out Notes: a useful reflection you can read in about five minutes, with a question or practice to bring into your own life. I will also share invitations to upcoming experiences when they are ready.
You can begin with that question. Explore the ideas, get to know my approach and choose a next step that fits where you are now.
